Istanbul: Doritos Late Night Triangle PART 3

Continuing my story... Our last day was spent in Istanbul, Turkey <3

Exhausted but happy we arrived in the Lush Hotel. .. All ready for our next adventure!!

But first... A sauna and a massage in the hotel please, because, damned we were

still broken from our night in Moskou. 

Prepared and all, we went walking through the cozy shopping centre to look

for a nice place to eat. Me and Hanna both ordered duck with oystersauce and chrispy golden sushi. Sigh.. So good.

After dinner we visited different clubs and cafe's through the streets.

I really love this centre, everybody is so kind, happy

and cheerful! We danced with some streetmusicians,

hid from the rain under our newly bought umbrella's and strolled around with a big grin!

Even the men moved like its their last dance! The Dutchies still have a lot to learn.

1 o'clock and a flight back home in a few hours from now.. We we're DEFINITELY NOT ready to leave!!! So what to do? We go to the last, but surely not least club of Istanbul.

On to club Reina! Danced 'till we dropped and wiped away by staff when they had to close everything down. 

With 2 hours of sleep we woke up, hasted, jumped, knocking on Joost his door,

who was still chrashed and asleep, because he was so kind to let us party all night.

Ready for our flight back, leaving our bags at the hotel for a while,

we still had a bit of time to look around again in the centre of Istanbul. 

Some protests, shops, more tasty Turkisch dishes and many

beautiful sights of this wonderful city.

I'm amazed how much there is to see /do in such a short time..!

With this all said, it felt like we traveled for 3 weeks. 

Stunned and inspired we went back to Amsterdam. Back to reality! 

But the thoughts and feelings while being on this trip will stay

strong, reliving the moments over and over again <3

Moskou: Doritos Late Night Triangle PART 2

The second day of our winning trip was spent in Moskou, Russia.

Still moving on with the lingering thoughts of impressions from Berlin, 

it was strange to adapt to the new big place, Moskou. 

Here, the contrast between wealth and poverty were immense and stunning.

It felt as if I rolled into a movie. On the road from the airport to the centre,

massive and an incredible amount of huge old buildings pounded from the ground.

Grey, sober, with no signs of nature, gazing through an endless horizon.

Cars all covered in dust, without license plates and broken windows,

driving criss cross through the roads. I thought it looked really badass. 

Then, arriving to the centre of Moskou... The hotel, the food, the shops, cafe's and clubs;

It's no joke to say that EVERYTHING sparkles, too good to be true. 

Visiting different kinds of cafe's, shops, a photoshoot, it was so much fun.

I also tried the best hot cocktail ever in the bar Denis Simachev, called the Sweetgayhoneylove cocktail. Yup, absolutely tasty.

And then there was the restaurant/danceclub... SOHOROOMS.

Gosh, this place was so unrealistic, surrealistic, over de top perfect.

Me and also the others felt a bit overwhelmed by the surroundings and the dropdeadgorgeous people walking around, all rich and fancy.  Also, each day we had a budget of 250 euro's p.p. to spent on food each day.

Figured this would be impossible to do.... Actually, nothing is farther from the truth.

 Don't ask me how, but we managed to overtop the budget in Moskou.

Everything was just too darn expensive, but hell, the food was good. I can still

feel those Moskou angels pissing on my tongue.

Ending the night with the jacuzzi in the hotel awyea.

I definitely had the time of my life and absolutely want to return for a longer period of time.

Berlin: Doritos Late Night Triangle PART 1

A lot of time has passed since my last post and some crazy things have happened.

One of them was that I won the main price ´Late Night Triangle´

of the chips brand Doritos. The price was a trip to Berlin, Moskou and Istanbul,

But not alone, again, I got the chance to travel with my friend Hanna. 

The third winner was Erik and we were guided and accompanied by organisator Joost.   

4 days holiday in total. Easy to say, these were one of the best, craziest,

tiresome, luckiest and most beautiful days of my life.

Interrailing

Thinking I would have time for a blog in summervacation was the craziest idea ever. 

I´ve just been too busy! But it was a great time. I went to Belgium, France, Spain and Portugal with my friend Hanna by train & bus. Too much has happend really, that I don´t know where to start. But here are a few pictures to describe a few of our days spent.

 And here´s Hanna. Isn´t this the cutest vacation pic ever!
